Who we are

This website is operated by the owner of Casa de Portalegre, a private holiday rental property located in the district of Portalegre, Portugal. Throughout these terms "we", "us", and "the owner" refer to the property owner.

Booking process

Reservations are made through this website using one of two flows:

  • Direct payment. Your card is pre-authorised and charged only after the owner approves the stay. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.
  • Enquiry. You send a message and the owner responds with availability and a booking link.

Prices and currency

All prices shown on this website are in euros (EUR) and include all applicable Portuguese taxes. Cleaning fees and the base nightly rate are shown separately at the time of booking.

Check-in and check-out

Standard check-in and check-out times are displayed on the property page. Early check-in or late check-out can be requested by email and is subject to availability.

House rules

  • Maximum number of guests as stated on the booking confirmation may not be exceeded.
  • Smoking indoors is not permitted.
  • Events, parties, and large gatherings require written consent from the owner.
  • Guests are responsible for damage caused during their stay beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Pets are only allowed if the property is listed as pet-friendly and the owner has agreed.

Liability

The owner accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, or expense suffered by guests or their property, except where caused by the owner's negligence or wilful misconduct and to the extent required by Portuguese law. Guests are strongly advised to hold their own travel and personal belongings insurance.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one shown on this page at the moment the booking is confirmed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Portalegre, Portugal.
